Inclusive Education Expo

The Special Education Resource Unit (SERU) provides a combination of services to educators, parents and carers of children with disability or learning difficulty. As part of our service, the Inclusive Education Expo is held on an annual basis to showcase high-quality practice in inclusive education.

The overarching theme is Inclusive Practice: how to include all learners and aims to build and enhance the capacity of educators. The keynotes, workshops and online training presented at the three-day event focus on interventions, programs and strategies to meet students’ learning needs. The expo also provides an ideal opportunity for educators to learn and share with their peers.

Held each year in the July school holidays, the expo is for teachers, support services staff, school services officers and early childhood workers working with a child or student with a disability or learning difficulty.

2021 Inclusive Education Expo – online

This year marks the 18th Inclusive Education Expo and the second to be held online.
Planning and recording is currently underway for this free online event, which will provide an opportunity to learn from 15 recorded professional learning presentations.

The presentations will be available to Department for Education staff via Plink until 11th October 2021, when sessions will then be made available to anyone here.

View the 2020 presentations and presentation descriptors (pdf – includes links to individual sessions) or watch them via Youtube.
