Parents and carers of government preschool/school students with a disability, are invited to attend our first Parent Forum in Port Pirie
This forum, the first to be held in Port Pirie, will include a keynote presentation from Director, Disability Policy and Programs, Ian May on ‘Supporting learners with disability’. In addition, there will be presentations on the following topics:
Student Support Services: Making the connections – presented by Matt Wilton, Channel Manager, Student Support Services
This session will include the disciplines that make up Student Support Services (SSS), the type of work managed by the team, how services can be accessed and a Q&A.
Building the capacity for successful transition to post school options – presented by Isabel Osuna-Gatty (NCDO), Helen Neale (NDCO) and Sarpreet Singh (NDIA)
This presentation will focus on career and employment options and supports available for students with a disability, including NDIS supports.

The forum will provide a safe and supportive environment to share your experience, obtain information and helpful strategies as well as providing the opportunity to have your questions answered.
The information you provide will also assist us in the planning of future forums.
