Hi, I have a sloping, mild to severe bilateral sensorineutral hearing loss. I have just finished a Science degree and now I’m studying post-graduate Audiology. It takes motivation to succeed. I’ve used a note-taker for all of my subjects and topics and arranged to get an extra time too, with a Disability Liaison Officer at Flinders University. The most important aspect is to acknowledge your disability, be up front about what you really need, and then contact your Disability Liaison Officer to provide these resources. Don’t give up, just because it gets a little hard. Persevere and get help.
