TAFE 1
Thanks for thinking about studying with TAFE. I think we are a place with lots of opportunities. You’ll find those opportunities in course books, you’ll find them in SATAC guides, you’ll find them on websites with the Institutes.
What you’ll find is a lot of information, different course lengths, different in points, a wide number of different careers that you can take up after studying at TAFE. And you may want to go on to University from TAFE. There is pathways to that too. We’ve got lots of Institutes, we’ve got lots of campuses, and you may have to face the fact that the campus that offers the course that you want, isn’t the closest one to your home.
All of our Institutes are committed to working with people with a disability, and all of them are doing it a bit differently. Your best starting point, contact the Institute or the campus, ask to talk to a Student Services Officer or a counsellor, and you can work with them about choosing your course, about working out what the enrolment process is and how to do that and you can also work with them about getting the extra support you may need to help you through the course.
