Hi, I work for SHINE SA. We work for Family Planning but we are a lot more about planning families. We are all about sexual health, and especially sexual health for young people. You can come to our clinics for contraception and sexually transmitted diseases checks. People can also come in for counselling and support. Often for young people this is about pregnancy options as well as sexual assault or childhood sexual abuse. Sexual health is more than just about unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. Sexuality is about communication, being safe, self-esteem, sexual diversity and a lot of other things as well. SHINE staff are happy to talk to any young person about any issues on sexuality. We respect your confidentiality and can provide free services if needed.
