Carl and Andrew are registered with the Disability Employment Agency. We are a service which provides assistance to people with learning and intellectual disabilities, to find and keep work. Andrew and Carl work as a team manufacturing bed slats and assembling furniture panels. It’s their first job and each has gained tremendous skills and knowledge about the furnishing industry, as well as the expectations of the employer. Carl and Andrew have access to a support worker Mike, whose role is to bridge the gap in their training program. The Complete Beds encourages a friendly team environment and recognises the valuable contribution young people with disabilities make within the workforce. It just goes to show when a little bit of planning and perseverance, the impossible becomes possible. Keep up the great work Carl and Andrew!
