Parents and carers of students with disability are invited to attend the Inclusive Teaching and Learning, SERU Parent Forum on Friday 27th May 2022
Hosted by the Department for Education, the Parent Forums are to inform and engage with parents or carers about the services and supports available for children and young people with disability.
This forum will open with a keynote presentation by Angela Falkenberg, President SA Primary Principals Association, titled Self-care is not selfish – When we are at our best, we play better, work better and parent better. We might know what nourishes us and enhances wellbeing but not be good at quarantining time to do them. Parents are great at looking after others but can be poor at giving the same attention to themselves. In this session we explore some accessible, free self-care activities and strategies to make them happen.
Other presentations on the day will include an update on current projects and policies, One Plan and the Inclusive Education Support Program (IESP funding).
